Sir,
     I have the honour to state that I am a student of 1st Year in your college. I am a poor student. I belong to a family of seven members. My father is the only bread-winner in the family. He cannot afford to raise his family easily. I am staying at the hostel. I find it very difficult to meet my expenses.
        I need some financial support so that I may continue my studies. I, therefore, request you to grant me scholarship for my books and hostel dues. I passed 10th class with distinct marks. You can check my previous academic record for your satisfaction. I will study with full attention.
