 Q# Find the Curved Surface Area of the Cake Slice?  

This question is from past paper O level Mathematics. We will try this to solve as easy as possible. 


Solution:

radius=r=8

height=h=5

angle=\theta=40

Formula of Curved Surface area of cylinder =  [Arc Length] * h

 {  Arc Length = [ \theta/360 *2 𝝿r ]  }

We have to find the curved surface area of cake slice so we will take this formula: 

Starting from:

 Curved Surface Area = Arc Length * h

   =  [ \theta/360 *2 𝝿r ] * h

  =  [40/360*2 (3.14)(8)] * 5

 =  [5.582] * 5

 = 27.92526

27.92526 is the curved surface area of cake slice.
