The Editor,The News,
Lahore.
Sir,
I would be grateful if you kindly allow me a space in your esteemed and widely-read newspaper to arise my views about mismanagement in the Utility Stores.
As a consumer I am sorry to say that they have succeeded in frustrating Govt. efforts. They have mismanaged things at the Utility Stores. Substandard goods or imitations are available at these stores. Some Shopkeepers have connived with the managing staff. They come as consumers but carry away huge quantities of goods. They sell them at their shops. I can quote just one example. If you ask for sugar, they have the only reply: we have run out of stock. But you can buy the same bags from the shopkeepers. Certain items are sold underhand. Customers are ever-charged. Old price tags are charged for new ones. The staff are not courteous to the customers.
Yours truly,
A sufferer
