Dear Sir,

             I have the honour to state that my elder sister's marriage ceremony is going 
to be held on Monday, the 12th August 2014. As such, I will remain busy at home for 
necessary preparation and arrangement of the ceremony. So, I will not be able to come 
 to college from 11th August to 13th August.

            For your kind information I would like to add that I am the eldest son of my 
parents and my father depends much on me in this regard.

                I, therefore, earnestly pray and hope that your honour would be kind enough
 to grant me three days' leave in advance with effect from 11th August. I will be highly
 obliged for your act of kindness.
